Two Brothers Marketing LLC, doing business as Junk Car Boys – Cash for Cars (“Junk Car Boys,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the services described in this Privacy Policy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information and how you can contact us about your privacy choices.

This policy applies to junkcarboys.com, our quote form at sell.junkcarboys.com, our partner portal at partner.junkcarboys.com, and related vehicle quotes, purchases, pickup arrangements, phone calls, text messages, emails, and customer support (collectively, the “Services”).

Our Services involve vehicle sellers and business partners, including vehicle buyers and towing companies. We arrange vehicle purchases through our partner network and also purchase some vehicles directly under our Washington dealer license for resale through auction.

1. Information We Collect

Information from vehicle sellers

Depending on your interaction with us, we collect:

  • Contact information: your name, phone number, email address, and vehicle pickup address.
  • Vehicle and quote information: vehicle year, make, model, VIN, location ZIP code, condition, title status, photos, offers, and other information needed to evaluate or purchase the vehicle.
  • Transaction information: accepted offers, pickup arrangements, purchase dates, amounts, transaction status, and your history of vehicle transactions with us.
  • Documents: title images, title transfer records, bills of sale, and other documents provided or maintained in connection with a vehicle transaction. These documents may contain names, addresses, signatures, and other identifying information.
  • Communications: text messages and attachments, emails, customer support notes, call recordings, and feedback you provide.

You do not need to provide a payment card to request a vehicle quote. For partner-arranged purchases, the purchasing partner pays you. For vehicles we purchase directly, we pay you and arrange third-party towing. We maintain relevant transaction and payment records.

Information from business partners

When you register for or use our partner portal, we collect:

  • Business name, business address, contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses.
  • Account and authentication information used to access the portal.
  • Business license and insurance documentation provided for verification.
  • Coverage areas, pickup radius, pricing preferences, and offers or bids.
  • Pickup, communication, and other portal activity records.
  • Billing and payment information associated with amounts owed to us.

Stripe processes partner payments for the amount due to Junk Car Boys in connection with an arranged purchase. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. We retain payment-method references, limited card details such as card type and last four digits, and relevant billing and transaction records.

Information collected automatically

When you use our websites or portal, we and our technology providers may collect IP addresses, browser and operating system information, cookie or similar identifiers, referring pages, pages and features used, interaction times, and approximate location derived from technical information such as an IP address. See Section 6 for more about cookies and analytics.

Information from other sources

We receive information from purchasing partners, towing companies, auction providers, and payment providers concerning offers, pickups, transaction status, and payments. We also receive analytics information about use of our websites.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Evaluate vehicles, obtain partner offers, calculate quotes, and communicate offers to sellers.
  • Arrange and complete vehicle purchases, payments, title-related processing, towing, and auction transactions.
  • Identify returning sellers and maintain vehicle, quote, and customer transaction history.
  • Respond to questions and request information needed to evaluate or finalize a quote.
  • Send offer reminders, pickup updates, transaction messages, and requests for feedback or reviews.
  • Register and support partner accounts, verify business credentials, match vehicles to partner coverage and pricing, and collect amounts owed to us.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure, analyze, and improve our Services.
  • Detect and address fraud, misuse, payment disputes, and security incidents.
  • Maintain business and legally required records, resolve disputes, and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
  • Process privacy requests and communication preferences.

Automated tools and artificial intelligence

We use automated systems and AI services, including OpenAI, to assist with seller communications, collect pickup details, and help process vehicle information. Depending on the interaction, information processed by these tools includes your name, phone number, vehicle year, make, model, VIN, pickup address, messages, and submitted title images.

AI may help identify whether an uploaded image appears to be a vehicle title. An image that is not recognized as a title is referred to a person for assistance. Document classification does not, by itself, verify ownership or the legal validity of a title. You may contact customer support for help with an automated interaction or a quote.

Call recording

We record calls through RingCentral for purposes such as customer support, transaction documentation, quality review, and dispute resolution. Inbound callers hear a recording notice before speaking with our team. Call recordings are personal information covered by this policy.

3. How We Disclose Information

Partner offers and vehicle purchases

Before you accept an offer, participating partners can see vehicle details, the VIN, the vehicle location ZIP code, drivability condition, body damage location, missing parts, and vehicle photos you have provided. We do not provide your name, phone number, pickup street address, or title photos to partners before you accept an offer. Vehicle details and photos should not be treated as anonymous information; please avoid including unrelated personal information in vehicle photos.

After you accept an offer, we collect your pickup address and provide the selected partner with the contact, location, and vehicle information needed to arrange pickup and payment. Where needed for the transaction, this may include title documentation after offer acceptance.

We receive compensation from the purchasing partner for an arranged transaction. For vehicles we purchase directly, we disclose necessary information to towing companies, auction providers, and others involved in completing the purchase, transportation, title processing, or resale.

Purchasing partners and auction providers may maintain their own transaction records and have their own privacy practices. Contact us if you need help identifying the business handling your transaction.

Partner information provided to sellers

We provide relevant partner business names and contact details to sellers in connection with scheduled pickups. We do not disclose partners’ private pricing preferences, bid histories, or payment-method details to other partners or sellers. A seller receives the offer made to that seller.

Technology and service providers

We disclose information to providers that support our operations, including:

  • Zoho: customer and partner relationship management and related records.
  • Twilio and RingCentral: text messaging, phone services, and call recording.
  • Email providers: delivery and management of business email communications.
  • Amazon Web Services: hosting, application processing, and storage.
  • OpenAI: the AI-assisted functions described in Section 2.
  • Stripe: partner payment processing.
  • Google Analytics: website usage measurement and analysis.

The information disclosed depends on the provider’s function. Providers may also process certain information for their own legal, security, or service-administration purposes under their applicable terms and privacy notices.

Text messaging consent

We do not sell or share your text messaging opt-in information or consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Providers supporting our messaging services may process this information to deliver messages and manage consent. Sharing your contact information with a selected purchasing or towing partner to complete your requested transaction does not transfer your consent to receive Junk Car Boys marketing texts to that partner.

Legal matters and business transfers

We may disclose information to comply with applicable law or legal process, respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud, protect safety and security, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Information may also be disclosed or transferred in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

We may disclose information for other purposes at your direction or with your consent.

4. Text Messages, Calls, and Emails

With the consent required for the communication, we contact sellers about their vehicle quotes and transactions by text, phone, and email, including through automated systems.

When we save your vehicle offer, we send an initial offer notification by text message and/or email. We then generally send one follow-up per day for six additional days, up to seven offer-related messages through each applicable channel. Follow-ups stop sooner if you accept the offer, tell us you are not interested, or opt out of that communication channel. Other messages may request vehicle or title information, coordinate pickup, address transaction issues, or ask about your experience and invite you to leave a review. Message frequency varies with your interaction and transaction status. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop text messages, reply STOP. You will receive a confirmation of your unsubscribe request. You may reply START to request that text messages resume. You may also contact customer support to withdraw consent or request help. An active transaction does not prevent you from opting out of text messages.

You can ask us to stop quote reminder emails or other promotional emails by contacting customer support or using an unsubscribe link where provided. Necessary nonpromotional transaction or account emails may continue where permitted by law. If you stop receiving texts, please contact us to arrange another appropriate way to coordinate any pending transaction.

Portal users may also receive messages about partner accounts, pickups, payments, and portal activity, subject to applicable consent and communication preferences.

5. Retention and Deletion

We maintain customer contact information linked to vehicle and transaction history to recognize returning sellers, assist with later inquiries or transactions, and maintain records of our business relationships. These records do not currently have a fixed automatic deletion date.

Retention of other information, including photos, documents, and communications, depends on its use in providing the Services, supporting transactions, maintaining required records, addressing disputes and security matters, and complying with applicable law. We do not promise a uniform scheduled deletion period for all information. Service providers may apply separate retention periods to copies in their systems.

Our retention practices remain subject to applicable legal limits. The absence of a fixed deletion date does not override a legal requirement to delete or limit retention of information.

You may request deletion by contacting us using Section 12. We will review your request, verify identity where appropriate, and delete information as required by applicable law. Where applicable, we will also take the steps required by law concerning copies held by our providers or other recipients.

We may retain information to the extent applicable law permits or requires, including to complete a requested transaction, maintain required dealer, tax, or accounting records, prevent or investigate fraud and security incidents, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We may also retain limited records needed to document your request and honor communication opt-outs. These exceptions do not automatically permit retention of your entire file. If we cannot fulfill all or part of a request, we will explain the applicable reason as required by law.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

Our Services use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as maintaining portal sessions and understanding website usage. We currently use Google Analytics to measure how visitors find and interact with our websites. Information processed for analytics may include technical identifiers, device and browser information, page views, and interaction events.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website or portal functionality. Google also offers an analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The add-on has limits and does not disable every form of information collection.

Learn more about Google’s practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Browser cookie controls are separate from requests to exercise privacy rights. Contact us using Section 12 for questions or requests about disclosures of your information.

7. Privacy Rights and Requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to our business and processing, you may also have rights to:

  • Obtain information about our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information and receive a portable copy of certain information.
  • Opt out of a sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, where applicable.
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Use an authorized agent to submit a request, subject to applicable verification requirements.
  • Appeal a denied request where your state’s law provides that right.
  • Exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination.

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, and residents of other states may have rights under their applicable privacy laws. These rights are subject to the relevant law’s coverage, conditions, and exceptions.

Submit a request by emailing dispatch@junkcarboys.com, calling 360-768-2151, or writing to the address in Section 12. Our dispatch/customer support team handles privacy requests. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless requested through an appropriate process.

We may need to verify your identity or an agent’s authority before responding to certain requests. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you wish to appeal a decision, contact us using the same details and identify your message as a privacy request appeal. We will explain any further available steps as required by applicable law.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No system or method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

10. Information Processing Locations and Third-Party Services

We operate from the United States. Information may be stored or processed in the United States and accessed or processed by personnel, contractors, or service providers in other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live. Such processing remains subject to applicable legal requirements.

Our websites and communications may link to third-party websites or services. Those businesses’ privacy practices are governed by their own notices. This policy describes our practices and does not control the independent practices of other businesses.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our Services or practices change. We will post the updated policy with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
